Gibson's cold night

It was the Saturday that most NBA fans had circled on their calenders before the year started. One of the best days the NBA has to offer, "Saturday Showdown".

The night consisted of the shooting stars competitions, skills challenge, three-point shootout and of course the highly anticipated, dunk contest.

The lone Cavalier, Daniel "Boobie" Gibson was on display in the three-point shootout. However, he only showed for one round.

Boobie shot second behind eventual three-point champion, James Jones in the first round. Gibson came out flat missing his first nine shots. He made his first ball toward the end of the second rack.

It just wasn't the night for the Cavalier as time expired with balls still on the final rack. He finished with a score of 7.

However, on the bright side of things, Gibson did not finish last. That honor went to surprisingly Kevin Durant (6 points).

James Jones was the winner of the competition, fighting off two Celtics to win his first ever three-point shootout contest.

Jones finished with a round of 20 points beating Paul Pierce (18) and Ray Allen the all-time record holder for most three's.
