The Cavaliers released Leon Powe on Friday. A day after the Cavaliers made multiple trades before the 3:00pm deadline.The Cavaliers roster was at 16 after the trades were finalized leaving the Cavaliers no choice to release the California project.
Cleveland acquired Baron Davis, Semih Erdan (Boston), Luke Harangody (Boston) and a 2011 first-round draft pick from the Clippers.
In 14 games this season, Powe was averaging 4.0 points a game and grabbing 2.7 rebounds in just over 13 minutes of action.Powe, who has fully recovered from a torn ACL injury that happen with the Boston Celtics back in 2008 will look to join another team.
ESPN and realgm.com has reported that Powe has cut his options down to Boston, Orlando and the Lakers.
